Television Vandalism Stirs Debate.

Blurb: New television screen in ATT vandalized during Christmas break.

Body: On the evening of Monday, Jan. 18, an unknown vandal ruined the new televison screen located in the ATT. The screen was worth approximately $3000 and, according to director of public safety George Hacking, a replacement is going to be ordered next week.

In order to protect the new screen there may have to be security cameras placed in ATT. This may cause debate amongst students and faculty and there are many legal issues that have to be met before this can occur. The need for security cameras comes as a result of the lack of security officers on campus since officer Charlie Forrest has been deployed to Afghanistan.

There is no information regarding who may have caused the destruction. There have been no leads, but if you have any information on who may have vandalized the television you are asked to contact public safety.
